One of the questions I get asked regularly is how to get free targeted traffic to your squeeze pages.
And it may come as a surprise but my answer isn’t social media because when you first get started you won’t have an audience.
Don’t waste time posting your links in Facebook groups, these days every man and his dog are doing the exact same thing… Only to get their links out in the open and therefore nobody is going to even bother clicking your links.
To help you out, I’ve put together five tips to get free targeted traffic to your squeeze pages. They do require some work but these traffic generating methods are proven to be very effective. These tips will work with any free product that you use, whether it be reports and e-books or software and e-courses.
Here’s how to get free targeted traffic to your squeeze pages
Use multiple entry points.
What I mean by this is, yes it is great to drive traffic to one squeeze page but don’t let that be all you do. For example, if you have your own blog, put opt-in forms in the widget area on your sidebar and make use of an exit pop-up. Write some posts that are closely related to your lead magnet, place a strong call to action at the end of your post. Try and think laterally about how to get as many people as possible laying eyes on your lead magnet.

Approach marketers in the same niche and ask if you can add your free product in their download area. The first thing you’ll need to do is start building a relationship with the other marketer. Find out what you can do for them first, you could provide a sales page testimonial for example.
You will need to make a banner that will lead directly to your squeeze page, but as these will be buyers it’s well worth the effort.
I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again… Forum marketing is the most underrated form of free traffic! This is literally the way I built an email list of over a thousand subscribers when I first started out.
Make sure you have a link back to your squeeze page in your signature on any forums you’ll be posting in. A good place to get started is The Warrior Forum for example. If you are actively posting this will deliver a steady flow of new subscribers.
Let me tell you that guest blogging is still one of the best traffic and lead generation strategies. Writing effective and valuable guest posts will help you generate a handful of audiences for your squeeze pages.
Best thing about this strategy, is that your post is seen not only once but even years after it has been published.
We don’t want to write a novel here, keep it short but to the point.
